Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto - Revep E.P.

Bleeps and glitches from Mr. Noto, treated piano from Mr. Sakamoto. Lovely dusk music. Oh, and Guess That Tune!

Tried the most recent remaster but it lacks grunt compared to my cd rip. Is there a decent mastering of PG available on cd I wonder?

Ha .  I'm sure there will have been a lot of discussion here on that very topic and I can't add to it. As I've mentioned before I've had my entire collections of music nicked a few times in the past four decades so all I have at the moment are what I would call a bog standard CD of PG, all the 24/96 downloads and the SHMCDs Definitive Collection, which sounds pretty good to me but I'm not able to really comment against a range of releases and remasters. Good luck!

It's one of those iconic masterful works that deserves to be heard at its best...At £20 nothing ventured and all that.

Cheers,

G

I heard Santana's version of 'Black Magic Woman' On BBC Radio 2 in the week. Just cleaned it on the Okki Nokki and now spinning on the LP12. Great stuff!

Listening to the above albums on a pair of Totem Acoustics - SKY stand mount speakers, these are on loan from my local dealer due to problems i have had with my new speakers (room acoustics), which i bought about 3 months  ago, Totem Acoustics - STAFF floorstanders. So far i am very impressed with what i am hearing and the SKY's are much more room frendly.
