Image result for rolling stones let it bleed

Got this for Christmas 1969 when I was thirteen. My absolute favorite Stones album.

Still on the 1979 kick. This was another great album from that great year. On 2013 reissue vinyl:

1971 - U.K. - First pressing...

A+ | Transcoded DSD

(1971)

This 40th Anniversary release is good, nice to get the bonus tracks with other stuff going on, Poor Mohammed being one of my favourites. Such an underrated band post Whiter Shade of Pale, as yet they have not been recognised and inducted into the Hall of Fame, very harsh IMHO.

Nothing like a good blast of the Throbbers to get rid of unwanted guests Stevee. Gotta love the Gristle!

Yet another outstanding album from an outstanding year - This Heat's eponymous debut (1979). This is the first CD issue, from 1991:

Luke Howard Trio - The Electric Night Descends

Until recently, I could never imagine bass so fast and supple from my hi-fi. Now I don't have to imagine it.

If 1979 was a very good (the best, IMO) for albums, this, surely, was the best album . Factory Records FACT 10, Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division. First UK pressing, mastered by Porky Peckham:

Funnily enough Jeff I was playing this last night and haven't played it in such a long time. Great album shame Anais won't re-release the album that came before this her breakthrough album. I did ask her but she doesn't want to. I hope you and your good lady have a very good Xmas.

Brian Eno with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams - Small Craft on A Milk Sea

The drums on Flint March are a thing of beauty.
