Gary Shaw posted:It's a classic Steve, and their best album, but weirdly I play the inferior follow-up, Ball, more often. It has some naff tracks, but some whizzo ones, like Filled With Fear
OK, so it's just me
Thanks Nick, I know where you're coming from but its still IAGDV for me because the the title track and associated good memories around that time are seared into my brain.
Sampling...
I always find this music wonderfully uplifting, and the playing on this recording is particularly joyful.
Rummaging about in iTunes and found this, I didn't even know I'd ripped (this year apparently) :-

2004 - Tidal...
Something a little laid back and cheerful on this cold and foggy morning...
Just finished this, quite interesting...
Now switched to an old one...
Its Christmas, so its a long standing tradition in our house we / I have to have something by "The Boys".
This 1988 CD sounds brilliant on the CDS 2...
Live At Leeds - The Who - the recent release on heavy plastic. My original copy bought early/ mid seventies was my first live album, and I have always regarded it as a true classic and as probably the best live recording I've got in terms of raw energy and atmosphere. This new release takes it to another level. Sounds even better and great to hear each of the sum of parts that make up the Who sound, with such clarity. Really enjoying this Xmas present.
