2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

You do know that people have posted this here several times, don't you Joe? Or, do I have to paint a picture?
Another Christmas purchase i'd not gone round to playing yet. Putting that right (albeit at a lower volume than usual) this morning after watching her on Jools Holland last night.
A sublime debut. This is going to get played a lot this year.
Christine And The Queens - Chaleur Humaine

My first of the new year and this one is ripped from an original Reprise label CD, great SQ and well recorded, produced by Walter Becker.

The Drive-By Truckers’ American Band Is the Perfect Album for the Year of Trump.
With songs about racism, police shootings, and immigration, the Southern group is making rock great again.

I really want to buy this album on HD, but can't find it on the usual sites (Qobuz & HD Tracks etc). Anyone know if its available as a HD download? I thought she was superb on Jools Holland last night.
Starting the new year with a perennial favourite: Caravan, 'Cunning Stunts'
Time for a change of mood. Wildflower by The Avalanches, on deluxe LP:
My first listen to Joanna this year, it certainly won't be the last.
Happy New Year to everyone.

I too really enjoyed the Canterbury scene Clive. I saw Caravan at the Fairfield Halls in the early 70's (just a few stops on the train) so this could well be that gig. I'll see if I can find the album. Thanks!
Sadly I missed them when they visited the Assembly Rooms in Tunbridge Wells to promote the Cunning Stunts album (although it might have been the St Dunstan's album). However, I did get to see them a year or so back when they were touring the Paradise Filter album. Although it was quite enjoyable, it didn't have the magic which I'm sure I missed in the mid 70s.
