Nerina Pallot - Fires.
A brilliant album which I seem to play quite a lot recently
Not sure I'd rate it that highly. For me she is similar to many female artists I already have music by. I would certainly play it again not sure if I'd purchase this album.
Just finishing:
John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers "Bare Wyres"
Next:
Pinmonkey "Pinmonkey"
Rosanne Cash "The List"
Rostropovich/Richter: Beethoven Cello Sonatas 1-5 1961-63 recording
It's about time I give this famous record a listen. ( I only had it around for 5 years now. :x )
More matured and awfully solemn. No bright sunshine. Rather two old friends debating or sometime reminiscing.
Richter’s piano ever more transparent and highly polished. Both parties are relatively in good manners.
Golden Earring. Moontan. On original MCA vinyl from 1973. The US release has three songs on side one - Radar Love, Candy's Going Bad, and Vanilla Queen. What a powerful ultimate album side.

Playing disc one of four, the first set recorded live in front of an audience in Reims Cathedral in 1974.
Kinks. The Singles Collection. On Sanctuary Records CD from 2004. A fantastic 25 track compilation that faithfully captures the band's garage sound. Highly recommended.
Scorpions
Crazy World
Listing to this great Hard Rock album this morning as a pick me up after a few bad days with ongoing health problems.
Edward.
So far today,
All from CD ripped to WAV and in this order. Feast just gets better every time I play it. Animals to me is timeless brilliance and Justice does the stereo just that.

Just downloaded this very good indie album from Tindersticks, thanks to Bruce and others who have flagged this up.

A nice selection there Simon I am still grateful for you introducing me to Feast..., I had pretty much given up on Fish and its a very fine album that would probably have passed me by.
Did you have any problems with the ripped final track? I get a lot of noise on it that's not apparent when I play the CD.

To say this was just formulaic prog' rock would be to do it a disservice because its pleasant enough, but Nad Sylvan who accompanied Steve Hackett on the Genesis Revisited tour has not got that spark that made the early prog of Genesis so very good.
Kate Nash "Made Of Bricks" , first listen
Rainbow "Rising"
