Prompted by Bert's enthusiasm  for the above, I have been looking on Tidal some of this guys non-ECM stuff to try.

This is nice;

These are two guys. The Seven Seas guy is a renowned bass player. The other one is a renowned Trumper Player. I like them both....

Time for a proper extended listen to the 282 HCDR 200 this weekend. The S-400 are thanking me for them so far!

Bert, this is an all-Brahms recital, but one that starts off with Brahms' transcription of the last movement of Bach's 2nd partita for solo violin. The transcription itself is part of 5 technical studies based on Chopin, Weber and Bach. Nice music but probably never intended for public performance. The rest of the works on this disc are masterpieces and looking forward to hearing Vinnitskaya play them.

Nice bass presence more evident and much wider/deeper soundstage with the 282 HCDR.

Thanks EJ, I almost feel stupid that I didn't notice that. I like the album on first run through...

Colm,

How nice!

I did a bit of snooping at YouTube and found their 2016/2017 Season video where the performers talk about the wonderful acoustic of the venue as well as having a good audience there. Looks like a fantastic place and they will have some nice concert there next seasons. Looks very cozy.

The history of this wonderful chamber music venue is interesting. Originally built to show off Bechstein Pianos, it was not surprisingly called the Bechstein Hall. During the First World War, German names became so unpopular that the Royal familly changed from Saxe Coburg Gotha to Windsor, and the Bechstein Hall became the Wigmore Hall ...

It is also a superb place from which the BBc broadcast chamber music.

A spare 1/2hr to spend with the delightful Ms Kent.

Sublime music and a very 'analogue' sounding recording too

That's a super album, in fact all of hers are really good. She's great live too.

Before doing the hoovering, some Bill Evans. There is an awful lot of chattering in the background: these days quiet during the sets is strongly encouraged. Despite the chattering, it's got to be well up there in the list of best jazz albums.

Ebba Forsberg - Ta min vals Live

Leonard Cohen songs translated to Swedish, performed live in a small theater in Stockholm. Excellent live recording.

Nice album HH - by coincidence I resurrected it the other day.  Very very laid back.

Yes, I hadn't played it for ages either. I just ordered Lovers Live - recorded on tour the year after. I didn't even know it existed until today.
