Volume levels on Unitiqute between sources

Posted by: crsm123 on 04 January 2016

Hi,

I recently bought a Unitiqute 2 which I'm very happy with.  I have  the audio output from my tv connected to the optical digital input for the sound from my sky box and another box for Belgian tv (as I live in Belgium).  I currently only use the Unitiqute for this and internet radio.  However, when I switch to tv sound I have to turn the volume up very high and so have to be careful to remember to turn it down again before switching back to radio!  Anyone any idea why that is and what I can do about it?

Thanks in advance.

In the Naim app, go to Settings > Input Settings, and select the input you're using. Use the 'input trim' setting to adjust the relative volume for that input.

I'm no techie, but have precisely the same issue with my Muso, attached to a Toshiba 32" smart tv. I've tried both the digital connection, and the analogue via headphone output from the tv. Both require the Muso volume to be up at 80-90% for normal listening. Forgetting to turn it down before switching to Radio Paradise can be painful! My Naim dealer tells me the issue is down to the output from the tv - short of switching brands there is apparently no cure. I would be delighted if another contributor can come up with a less expensive solution!

Great, thanks.  I'll try that when I'm back home this evening.
