TIDAL

I am struggling to make TIDAL work with my unitilite and android phone. I have been using Spotify using Naim app (and laptop) for some time. The local dealer did the firmware update. On the Unitilite display it says "ERROR use naim app" occasionally it says "Ready". However when I try to play a track both the phone and the Unitilite say "can't play - skipped track". TIDAL say it is a Naim issue, and it is the case that the standard TIDAL phone app (as opposed to the Naim app) will play music on the phone. I have also tried running it from an Android tablet with the same result. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the phone app (which is, by the way, set to HiFi on the TIDAL input setting) the phone is a Motorola Moto G. I have tried linking the Unitilite and router via homeplug (instead of wireless) to no effect. Naim helpline's only suggestion was to do (sigh) a factory reset also with no effect. TIDAL has been damned with faint praise but I would like to hear for myself. Does anyone have any suggestions or analysis about what is wrong?
