Really enjoyed the first episode. Great music from my student days when I visited Germany often too.

Enjoyed the first episode (and the re-awakenings of my o-level German from 30+ years ago).  Missed the second episode last might but will catch-up.

Watched episode one late last night. Very impressive - I will be sticking with this one.

Really enjoyed the first two episodes (confused why everyone is saying that it was the first). Yep, the period music and fashion is a great flashback

Watched the first and have recorded the second which I will probably watch tomorrow night. Really enjoying it.  Brings back a lot of memories of German during that period.

Got both of them taped, looking forward to getting to watch them sometime soon. Seems you guys are rating it (which on past basis of your ratings other non UK dramas is a good thing!), havent heard anyone else talking about it though.

It is of a similar theme to the Americans - the activity of illegals in country, however the training the East German chap appears to be less complete than the Russian spies in the Americans.

It is interesting how these stories get you to be on the illegals side.

Anyone else sticking with it? We're really enjoying its genre-busting context.

We couldn't get into it, so have dropped it.

Ep 3 was the best yet we thought.

It's preposterous of course (well at least it comes across that way), but the acting is top notch, and the denouement of the third episode was moving and took the drama and characterisation to a whole new level.

Shall certainly stick with it, yet to see ep 4 though.

Well, I'm glad I stuck with it.

Increasingly preposterous in terms of plot, and from the denouement it is easy to see that the writers took their end-point and worked back from that and to hell with authenticity. But that is far from new, or condemnable.

The period evocation, cinematography, music and good central performances were what made it worth watching.

I agree with the last few comments.

A preposterous plot, but an enjoyable watch nonetheless. The same comments apply to 'Occupied' (Norwegian).

There are quite a few good foreign language series running at the moment, and let's hope that 'The Bridge' returns for another series. I am currently watching 'Spin' (French) and 'Trapped' (Icelandic). Still also recording '100 Code' (Swedish) for the moment, but not so sure about this one.

Watching foreign language films is a little strange. I'm not sure that I could watch 'Spin' if it was transposed to the British political scene with British Actors.

Watched the last episode yesterday evening. Yes, it was a bit ridiculous in terms of credibility in all sorts of ways but thoroughly enjoyable for the scenarios and brilliant casting.

Some real creeps who's paranoia was palpable at times.

Dag was  good (Sky Arts), Norwegian with subtitles. Interesting comparing with "Occupied", if I was not reading the subtitles I could think that the stress in Occupied was about Marriage Counselling in Dag.  The language sounds softer and smoother in Trapped.

Super scenery in Trapped.
