Concerts planned for 2016.

Posted by: dave marshall on 12 January 2016

The "concerts planned" topic seems to have fallen by the wayside somewhat, so I thought I'd try to resurrect it with the following.

Massive Attack, at Leeds O2, on the 27th of this month.

Hoping for a chilled evening.

Dave.

Tickets are still available at Getmein (a Ticket Master Company). Prices range from £220 to £2,200.

I'm sure you'll be able to pick them up on ebay at a reasonable price, closer to the event.

I resurrected this topic with news of Massive Attack, this Wednesday, at Leeds O2.....................just captured tickets for The Cult, March 8th. at Leeds Beckett University.

Whilst next week ought to be a chilled out evening, hopefully the gig in March should be anything but!

Natalie Merchant & Bonnie Riatt as already mentioned - but I will add in Gordon Lightfoot in May . Really looking forward to seeing and hearing probably the best Singer Songwriter of his era - and era that stretches back to 1960.

Also ELO in May .

I'd have been going to this as well, had I not bought tickets for Teddy Thompson & Kelly Jones in the Queens Hall, Edinburgh on the same night. Instead, I'll be going to see Brian Wilson at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh the following night.

Should be good, although I wonder just how much Brian can contribute himself, given his age and his well documented drug related health problems. Still, I never got to see the Beach Boys live & this will be the next best thing. I had very low expectations of the Fleetwood Mac concert I went to last year, thinking them to be well past their peak, and it turned out to be absolutely brilliant, so you never know. A little more unlikely this time, I guess.

Just booked tickets for Seth Wakeman at the Ropetackle Shoreham By Sea. April 24th.

Posted on: 02 February 2016 by Lanesra

10CC at the Villa Marina, Douglas, Isle of Man on 15th April. Should be a good singalong even if there is only one original member in the band!

The Charlatans, same venue as 10CC on 16th April.

Getting bands over here is a pretty rare event, so I have to make the most of the opportunity!
