atv4 to DAC

hi folks,

atv4 has no optical out, hdmi out only as you know... so is it possible to have 192kHz/24 output over hdmi?

if so, can one grab this signal and lead it to a DAC?

Assuming the ATV can provide stereo audio via HDMI (and the older ATV can) then I see no reason why not. There are plenty of cheap SPDIF - HDMI extractors out there

Thank you Simon! Guess the build-in USB port is not usable for music...really strange
