Rest in peace, Gil Scott-Heron ... beautiful musical pioneer and beacon for social justice.

Back in the 1900s, my band, the Simon and Bard Group, had the great fortune to open a show for him at the Keystone Berkeley ... he could not have been more gracious, friendly, and supportive. A loss for the whole world.
