Ipod grouping songs

My system is composed by a naimuniti, n-sats and n-sub and  I'm very very satisfied of it. Now my uniti is gone to Salisbury to be updated to version 3 and I'm using my Ipod Classic 160GB to listen music. If I can, I put a question releated to Ipod/Itune and not releated to naim:
If, on the itunes library,  one artist has 2 albums, when I select the artist on the music menu of my ipod classic, I see the 2 albums and than I can select 1 album and see (listen) the songs. This is OK. But If an artist has just 1 album, when I select the artist I do not have the album to select, I see the songs of the only album directly.
Is it possible to have the album list for artist even if the artist has just one album?
