Hi,
I'm getting frequent drop-outs on the new Radio Paradise 320 stream on Naim Choice.
I don't get these when streaming HD from my MacBook Pro.
I've tried using an Airport Express wired to my Uniti and the same thing happens.
Basically, I'm running a Uniti with a Netgear wireless box situated approx 2 metres away in the same room. I cannot run a Cat5 cable to the Uniti for the sake of domestic harmony.
So my questions are:
1) Would the WA5 aerial help?
2) Would upgrading my account from 30mb to 50mb help?
3) Would investing in another wireless box help?
I'm on Virgin Media for phone, TV and broadband.
Any help appreciated.

I don't think it's you - quite a few others have been reporting this too.
Earlier in the week, the 320 feed was dropping out every few seconds for me. It then got better early yesterday, but later on it was dropping out again, albeit less often. I switched to the 192 feed and even that seemed to be suffering after a while.
Have you tried any of the other 320 stations in Naim Choice?
Not sure where the problem lies.
Best wishes
Gavin

Gavin,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think you're right.
BBC R3 HiDef Test has no drop-outs at all. Radio Paradise still does.
Early days with all this I guess. And not just from one end.
I'd reckon whatever I do from my end will not make a difference - but that's nice to know.

FWIW, I have had drop outs on Radio Paradise at both 320 and 192 kbps, but have managed to stream all other high res stations at 320 kbps with no issues. I have a very strong and fast broadband connection and my NDX is connected via Cat5e; I don't think this is a problem at the receivers' ends...

I have been experiencing problems with RParadise320 as well. I am wireless, or was I should say. Decided to buy some CAT6 cable (8m - £7 inc delivery) and fed the lead from the router (kitchen/dining room) to the Qute (lounge). A bit of cable is visible on the top of a skirting board but otherwise hidden. No problems to date with the wonderful Radio Paradise.
Why did I wait so long? No drop out problems at the lower rate.

Neil
