All good, but Rapture is excellent.

'The Songstress' by a margin - IMHO - before Rapture.

Interesting playing this on both vinyl and CD, as on many (even supposed hi-end) systems it sounds like she shouts high notes. I can say she doesn't - the shouting is just showing up the top-end frequency limitations of the system.

I've searched for an audiophile pressing of this album and cannot locate one - sadly.

Rapture for sure however there's also Sweet Love: The Very Best Of which has a good selection of all her releases.

I think it's also the only place (that I've found anyway) that has The Winans - Ain't No Need To Worry where she provides the vocal.

The Songstress.

Also check out the Johnnie Taylor L.P. on the same label ( Beverly Glenn )

Her early stuff with Chapter 8 is also good
