Issue with sound ipad control

Posted by: Bruno73 on 26 January 2016

I have an issue to control the sound of my system with the ipad. I don't have anymore the option on the apps.

I can select the music, radio, etc... but not the level of the sound.

I have a NAI XS2 + ND 5XS. If someone can help me it will be highly appreciated....

Hi,

I'm assuming that the volume control was previously working ok, so, somehow it's become disabled.

On your iPad, on the Naim app, top right of the screen, the cogwheel takes you to "Settings", and on the drop down list, "Audio settings", and then "Show volume control"

Should get things back to normal.

I don't really understand what you are asking  .......
You need to activate System Automation between NaitXS & ND5.  How to do it is in the Manual,  it needs 3.5mm/3.5mm cable linking Nait & ND5
If you already have that done & its gone missing  ............
iPad app "settings"  (the little gear wheel in top right corner)   > Other Settings > Show Volume Control & also Bottom Bar Volume Control

Thank you very much for your answers.

I have the cable between the  NaitXS & ND5. But I assume that I need to activate system automation.

Do you know where I can find the way to do it, manual for which product?

In the Nd5 front panel: settings, system automation.

Hi,

In the ND5XS manual, section 4.9 explains how to enable system automation.
