will my nac 202 sound better with a supercap on it than a hicap please my dealer has offered me one at a good price.

does anyone know if i put my cdx2 on a piece of marble on top of a oak rack shelf would it improve the sound
let us know - sounds intriguing... certainly CDX2 like full fat Fraim.
SC2 is better on every single pre i have tried it on over a HC or HCDR. Even my 32.5 sounded great with one. The difference the SC2 made to my Prefix over the HC2 was sensational, and one of those unforgettable moments that had me smiling and shaking my head.

This part of your question seems to have been overlooked.
I auditioned a CDX2 with 555PS against the XPS2 and found the 555PS greatly superior. Not surprising given the cost differential. Later traded the CDX2 in for a CDX2.2 + nDAC powered by my 555PS.

If you doubt the ability of a SC to bring benefits to a much lower cost component, try it on Headline. That will kill any doubt.
I would then hold out for a 252 though.
