Living room re-jig

I'm re-jigging my living room and taking the opportunity to re-configure my audiovisual setup.

I'll be taking delivery of an NDX on Tuesday and am planning to connect the TV audio output to the NDX using Toslink optical.

I have a MediaCenter PC in the diagonally opposite corner of the room to the Naim rack and would like to connect it to the NDX.  Will feed the cable under the floorboards - about 7m.  The choice of cables is between RCA phono and BNC co-ax.  Am I correct to assume that BNC co-ax is the preferable option here?

Also, can anyone recommend a decent half-height PCIe audio board with a BNC co-ax digital audio output?

The ESI Juli@ XTe is fairly decent (this was the board that Bryston used in their early BDP-x players) and you have the option of removing the analogue I/O for better performance (or, for that matter, actually using the balanced audio outs to reach your system).

That said - you could also push-stream via UPnP from your Media Center PC to the NDX, depending on how you've configured the output buffers on the PC.

Also - you could just simply use the feed from the TV, with the Toslink output on the TV set to PCM (rather than Dolby-something).
