Are you still using Tidal?

The free 3 month subscription to Tidal ran out for me in early January - I thought that I would ditch the service when this expired but kept the lossless version another month until now when I've downgraded to the premium version. This basically gives me the 'Try before you Buy' capability I enjoyed with Spotify prior to Tidal but with a much better Integrated platform on the NDX. Out of Curiosity wanted to see how many are doing the same or continuing with the 'full fat' version?
I am continuing at the moment but through mu Mac mini as it is un-listenable on the 272 due to drop outs. If I did not have the Mac I would have cancelled at the end of the trial.
Ditched at the end of the trial in favour of a 6 month free trial of Deezer. I miss the CD sound quality, but it's been reliable so far, and just for new music discovery, it does a good job.
did not continue following free trail - bascially down to lack of use - have plenty on NAS if I need to put a play list together or Iradio with HD - Paradise or 6 Music through NDX is very good
even through Xmas - did not really use it -
I tried the free trial but cancelled at the end. Most of what I listen to these days is classical and jazz, and Tidal's range is simply woeful. Added to that, the sound quality was way below what I get from my NAS, and I simply wasn't enjoying any music I could find on Tidal. I'm running beta firmware, which was way better than the production version, but even if the music is uninterrupted, it's no use if you can't find enough to listen to.
I've got over 2,500 albums on the NAS, along with Radio 3, Radio 4 and Internet radio. I certainly don't need Tidal too.
I haven't actually tried Tidal yet, I have been totally happy with the excellent Deezer Elite for seven months or so. Though I might try the free Tidal offer before it expires at the end of March.
I am still on my trial 3 months with 1 month to go, but as others say Classical is not very well represented so I will not continue.
I have lots of my own music that I stream so that I mainly use Tidal for discovery and then buy the CD usually second hand and then rip to my mac............
My free trial ended yesterday and I went back to Spotify. I preferred Tidal due to the sound quality and integration in the Naim app. On one hand I believe that the MP3 Spotify quality does not do justice to the quality and level of my beloved Naim setup but On the other hand 20€/month is a lot as I don't use it thát much. I prefer listening to my (wav) files on my NAS and of course my vinylrecords.
Still with full fat Tidal - though I would prefer Quobuz if Naim ever integrates it with my SU. Tidal sounds pretty much indistinguishable from rips on my system and they have a lot (though not all) of the music I like. Not liking jazz (except for late Miles Davis) and classical helps.
In the context of what many of us spend on hifi, the £20 a month is trivial - the cost of a single SL interconnect would pay the sub for 6 years!
Still with Tidal.

No thanks. The quality and selection are not sufficient to waste money on.
Like Pev, I've stuck with it. I find the sound quality pretty good and I'm not suffering drop-outs. Indeed, it's now my main listening source, so I can hear Blackstar and loads of Beatles albums at roughly CD quality. Also like Pev, I'd prefer Qobuz for its better classical range - and access to booklets - but Tidal is nowhere near as bad in this respect as the Fishy one keeps claiming. I'd estimate about 80% as good as Qobuz, which is not good enough but certainly not 'woeful'.
Don't give up on "steaming" Mike. Food cooked this way is very healthy.
I gave up after the three month trial. Main issue is that realised I prefer ownership to rental whether that be CD or download. Ownership somehow gives me more emotional attachment to the music probably as I have spent my own hard earned cash on it. Tidal sound quality was good but not quite as good as a CD rip. Didn't really discover much new music and probably discovered more on Paradise or BBC 2/3/6 over the same period. I did use it to check out a few prospective purchases, which helped me decide not to buy saving me money. But I can use the free version of Spotify for that.

I steam with super high definition polyunsaturated snake oil Steve.
Sticking with it for now - hoping that the (mainly evening) drop-outs will be fixed with the next firmware.
Although SQ not quite as good as a streamed WAV file, Its become my main listening source due to the sheer volume of stuff available to explore (if only ECM had a deal with Tidal).
What I really like and what I would really miss without it is the ability to instantly listen to recommendations at good SQ.
I generally listen to albums for a much greater time period now before buying the CD (2nd hand usually) so Im sure I really want it.
I have stuck with it - think the sound quality (of most tracks) is pretty good on my 272 and I particularly enjoy reading a review of an album and then (9 times out of 10) being able to listen to it on Tidal. If it's something I really like then I will buy it through my Qobuz sublime account if a Hi Res version is available. I appreciate I could do the same with Spotify - but the SQ is so awful it seems a waste of a great system.
Whilst the above is an expensive way to "consume" music, there are many albums I find on tidal and enjoy very much that I do not purchase on CD or Hi Res and at that point Tidal is (for me) good VFM. The sublime account is an extravagance, but it was bought as a gift with a substantial discount so in my warped mind, I'm getting a discount on hi res files for free
I am still with Tidal. I had been even before free trial.
I haven't renewed, the drop outs killed it for me, couldn't really give it an extended trial. Definitely much better sound quality than Spotify (obviously) but not sure its worth the money. Maybe we will a get a chance to try again once the drop outs are eradicated
I have 1 month to go, but I will be ditching it in favour of Spotify Premium which I get free through my mobile phone contract. Spotify is adequate for Sonos in the non-Naim rooms and for general background music (I have a Sonos Connect into my UnitiQute). If I want to "listen" to music, I am working my way through ripping all my CDs to WAV
Tidal s unlistenable to on my unitilite as it drops out constantly. Does anybody know why?
I am listening to it through the Naim app and my BT internet is running at 49mbps. No probs watching 4k netflix. Ever.
I currently have both Tidal hifi and Spotify premium (the latter on a long term subscription that will end next month) and I will stay with Tidal despite the extra cost. On SQ basis there currently is no contest and my 272 suffers only very occasional dropout and probably just as much on Spotify as it does on Tidal. The thing I will miss with Spotify is the much more user friendly search function especially with classical music.
I get the impression a lot of people are thinking Tidal is to blame for the drop outs but just to repeat I get frequent drop outs using my 272 but none if I stream from my mac into the Hugo I have on loan. It worries me that the underlying spec of the Naim streamers is not up to the job. Here's hoping the new firmware does the trick.
I've used Spotify and Deezer for several years, and currently I have a premium account with Deezer, together with the Tidal trial.
The sound quality is definitely better on Tidal, but at the end of the trial I'll probably ditch it. Overall I just think the Deezer app and service is much more mature and enjoyable to use. Their suggested playlists, artists and albums are better tailored to my listening preferences than either of the other two, and their catalogue is also one of the best. I listen to most styles, but rarely classical.
What I'd really like is a lossless Deezer option, but I'd still think £20 a month was to expensive.
Deezer does seem to have a bigger catalogue. It was fairly rare that Tidal had nothing on offer from any particular artist, but sometimes there would only be a few tracks, whereas Deezer seeme to have a longer list of albums available.
