Dealers with active Ovator expertise?

With the sad demise of UHES as a going concern, I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to turn for on-going advice (other than here of course) and demo facilities.

Recognising that many dealers don't carry Ovators or the 500 range, let alone the experience of running the speakers active, it would be very helpful for me (and hopefully others too) if forum members could flag which dealers have this expertise.

You don't say where you are based - but if you're anywhere near St Albans you will find James at Tom Tom very helpful.

Sure a few have expertise, but few if any, will have active S600 for demonstration. I know for sure that Signals have sold and installed them. I don't think Cymbiosis have ever liked or stocked any Ovators, let alone active... correct me if i'm wrong.

More votes here for Signals and Tom Tom - not bought Ovators from them, but other purchases have been more than satisfactory.

Another possibility could be for your dealer to arrange for you to visit the factory and have a demo there.

I've always had a very positive experience with James at Tom Tom Audio. He's looked after me with passive Ovators for the last 5 years and certainly knows how to set them up properly to get them really singing. I've also seen him set up an active S600 pair with 3x300 for a fellow forumite who's done a write up for the current Connections issue.

Well worth giving him a call.
