Am just getting into the serious hifi game, bought a Superuniti Plus Sonus Faber venere 3.0. Have been running it for a year now.
I noticed that the at low volumes the midrange and lower range just doesnt have the oomph I am looking for. Not sure if its the amp or speakers.
Option 1 Am looking to add a power amp , have the option of NAP 250.2 at 2K gbp or NAP200 at 1k GBP, both 6 years old ( Am out in dubai).
Dont have the opportunity to audition both, will the nap 200 add what i need or must i go for the nap250.2 ( am considering bi amping.
Option 2 swap the venere for proac d18. Cant do both for budgetary reasons!!
Mostly listen to blues , jimi hendrix , the band, acoustic etc that sort of music.
Suggestions?
Suggestions folks? I

The SuperUniti is excellent, but has something of a warm and cuddly sound, which - from what I've read, rather than any first hand experience - may also apply to the Sonus Fabers. Biamping is not usually a big success with Naim, so I would work on the assumption of the new amplifier driving the speakers by itself. The 250.2 is more powerful than the 200, but also is a warmer sounding design, which you may or may not like. I suppose a 250DR is out of the question? Are you considering moving from the SU at some point after adding the power amp, say to a 272? I've not heard the Proac, so can't really help there.

FWIW I tried the 250.2 with my superuniti and did not find much of an improvement for the cost. The 250DR was clearly better, so I got that. My end game was the 272/250DR combo. If you are going to spend the money, perhaps get the 200 at the lower cost and eventually get he 272, as the 200 is very good and inexpensive and should go well with the 272 long term .

I wouldn't bother with adding a power amp to the SuperUniti. It is fantastic on its own, given good speakers.
To improve in terms of Naim boxes, you would need N272 + 250DR. Or SuperNait2 with an NDX.
