Metadata editor for IOS?
Posted by: R.K on 13 February 2016
Good morning. Is there such a thing as a Metadata editor for IOS? It would be very useful as I often find errors in tagging and then have to break off listening or remember them to correct in an editor later.
Yate or Metadatics appear to be the two most popular options. I've trialled both but didn't really get my head around either one of them; but then again I haven't really had to yet. The Yate trial is for the full software package but is time limited, the Metadatics trial is limited by how many files you can process which I found really annoying.
Thank you. I use metadatics in OSX on my iMac but am looking for something similar for iOS to run on iPad for when listening as I don't have a Mac in my listening room.
I use Metadatics and it works well for me
Sorry RK, posted before I got to your last post!

Sorry about that, I misread iOS for OSX.
JRiver Media Centre lets you edit metadata from your mac (and offers some very fancy searching and bulk editing features). If you want to edit metadata from your iPad then you can do this using the associated JRemote app. You can get JRiver on a free trial, but you have to pay for JRemote (though you can get a refund if you are in Europe).
Thank you. JRiver is a fully fledged media streaming service. I'm happy with minimserver but just need a program like Metadatics on my iPad

I know that, but in conjunction with JRemote it does let you edit metadata on your iPad, which is what you said you wanted. You don't have to use any of the other features if yo don't want them. It may or may not be worth it to you, but nothing else seems to be available!
