Great sound from 160 recap by Audio Plus, the North American distributor

Posted by: Brad L on 13 February 2016

I recently inquired about recapping my 110 on this forum and noone mentioned the availability of servicing by the North American distributor, Audio Plus.  As I mentioned in another thread, I ended up buying a recapped 160 that was done by Audio Plus.  I still continue to be amazed by just how great the sound is - really wonderful.

So - kudos to Audio Plus!  I don't say this to the detriment of any other providers, only to share my experience in this case.

The NAP160 was a very special Naim design with a performance that captivates. It was my gateway into Naim many decades ago. Naim changed many things after the NAP160 and improved different aspects of performance, but I think the NAP160 had a special integrity that was never matched or exceeded.

Enjoy.

Amen to that DB. 32.5/160 was the first Naim amp combo I bought in 1982. Many happy memories of that sound. An up to spec 160 is still a corking amplifier. I know; because I later bought another one and had it serviced.

Enjoy.
