Hicap DR or NAP 200DR question?.

Hi Forum.

I am thinking about uplifting my 2008 Hicap to the later DR spec  , but wonder would the improvement be any different to changing the NAP 200 to DR spec without using a Hicap at all. I believe only the preamp benefit's, to the DR change on NAP 200 DR. The preamplifier is a Nac 202 with Napsc.

No

upgrading your 200 to DR and not using any Hicap- either DR or not -on your 202 won't match the goodness you would get with the hicapped 202/ NAP200

Hi Antonio1.

That is what I thought would hopefully be the case.

I will look to upgrade the Hicap to the DR spec in time, to give the NAC 202 a better power supply .

Hi,

I am thinking of having a service at the  carried out at the same time. This hopefully would cost a bit less than sending the Hicap away again at a later date.
