Tidal (reliable), Qobuz and UPNP streaming all in one control App via Lumin & BubbleUPNP

Thought I ought to share this with those of you who have been struggling with Tidal drops outs, are looking for "direct" Qobuz streaming and would like both of these in one control app also with access to your ripped music.  Apologies to those already in the know - but this was news to me.

Thanks to Blenheim for pointing this out to me (see the last few posts on the "Tidal Keeps Stopping on the NDS" topic).  I gave it a go last night and it worked first time.  No drop outs on Tidal, access to Qobuz and my ripped files (via Minimserver) - all in one app.

I have been plagued by Tidal drop outs (particularly at certain times of day) and was getting extremely frustrated waiting for the firmware fix.

I installed Bubble UPNP on our Windows PC and Lumin on the IPad and hey presto ! -  It worked straight away, finding both my  Muso and my Superuniti.  I can stream Tidal & ripped files straight to either using Lumin as the control point  and (so far) no Tidal drop-outs. It was very straightforward to implement.  I think Blenheim (correct me if I'm wrong) has done this on his Mac-based system

There is also the option for Qubuz on  Lumin (I haven't tried this yet but I might give their free trial a whirl).

Lots of testing to do to check SQ, reliability etc but so far so good.

Some screen shots from Lumin below which seems very easy to use.

Hope this is of use to some of you - worth a go I'd say.

I am streaming from qobuz now for some days and I really like it. I am not quite sure if sublime will safe me money because I can prelisten music in detail before buying it, or if I will spend more money, because I can find more good music, but all in all it is really nice to have so much music "at my fingertips".

Unfortunately not all music in the qobuz download catalog is streamable. E.g all prince albums cannot be streamed (not a real problem for me because I already own them), but other albums cannot be streamed, too. I hope not to find too many of them. Other music is completely missing like radiohead. But ok, that is what I did expect, as not every music is available on all platforms.

One question regarding BubbleUPnP server running on a Synology NAS: Is it somehow possible to let it transcode flac to wav on the fly? That would really be nice, because wav sounds smoother on the uniti 1.

Thanks
