Upgrade suggestions

Hi Naim users, you prosalyrik have more listening experience than i have. I am now using a Naim Cd 5i and a Nait 5i integritet amp with Tellurium Q black cables and Audio Physic Tempo 25 speakers. I realt like the sound of this combination. But i am thinking on upgrading a bit. So some suggestions would be nice. I still want to use cd since now you can buy cd rekords cheap (the end of cd era???) Should i go for XS or Uniti 2 ? Are the Uniti 2 better since it sekels to be bult on Nait 5si ? What about the Cd player in Uniti, is it the same as Cd 5 si or better? Or is IT better to go for the XS integrated?

I have upgraded from CD5i with Nait 5i to the XS components i.e. CD5 XS and Nait XS and have noticed a large improvement. More detail and refinement, my ProAc D1 are much better controlled. The whole system has more punch and authority. I made my changes in two stages, amp first then CD player

Budget?
Box count limitations?

Not sure you'd notice much of a jump from your present system to a Uniti2 - seems a lateral move. My home demo of a Uniti versus a NaitXS left me owning a NiatXS/CD5x system. Big difference in my room, but some here prefer the musicality of the "lesser" system. Best to get a home demo of the NaitXS and decide for yourself if it's worth the cost to move up. BTW - seems like a nice system you've currently got, although your Tempos might appreciate the extra grip provided by the NaitXS

I don't want to many boxes, even if i understand the benefit soundwise.

Improve the CD player, CD5x(s) or a late CDX2, but only if you have a suitable rack as the CDX2 is rather fussy about what it sits on. Avoid glass unless it's Fraim and steel, look for some lateral decoupling. A CD5x doesn't care nearly as much.

Ok sounds interesting the first source is important. I feel that my speakers are good enough and can take improvements from this change of Cd player. I also have to experiment with the rack. I have an older one stacked away  named  "soundDesign" something. With steel frame and wood shelves. Under the Cd5i wich i have now i have 3 cork supports each 3x3x4 cm. ( three is mor stabile than figur)  By the way i've vad Chord Epic Twin cables but the change to Tellurium was better for me in my listening room.

I would look at a CD5xs and Nait 5xs. Later you could think about a Flatcap to power them both. You'd have a great system with only three boxes. Do put your equipment on a proper stand, and then you can get rid of the cork - Naim feet are carefully designed to support the equipment and you should not need bits of cork.

You are enjoying a well matched system at an easier price point. Don't buy or sell anything until you've heard at home what spending quite a lot of money may or may not add to your pleasure

I will let my ears decide, surely A proper stand is the best.
