Of Light and Music

Just got new illumination installed in the kitchen: Bye bye 300W indirect halogen lighting, hello 9W energy saving LED pendant lamp.

This new lighting atmosphere makes me think of the old LP-vs-CD-debate: right-wrong-different-getting used to it etc.

And further: is a good stereo comparable to a good lighting atmosphere? On both one can spend considerable budget for "just" feeling more comfortable and the aim to re-create the old atmosphere using the latest technology.

I write this enjoying music from digital media, but hating the new light in the kitchen.

You may enjoy the integrated amp from Music Fidelity, I understand that the lights on the amp change colour when it warms up, you will have a kind of northern lights in you own home.  Perhaps great stereo with warm encompassing lights..
