Hi,
I've just installed DB power amp for mac, and completed my first flac rip, which appears to have completed successfully.
The problem is that I can't see where the options of where to save the rip appear on the new (to me) software.
I know there's going to be a "Doh" moment when one of you guys reveals to me what is probably blindingly obvious, but at the mo', I'm scratching my head somewhat!
Also, if I do end up saving rips to my nas, do I require to create a folder where they can be seen by my HDX server, for pickup by my NDS?
Presently, this is carried out by the HDX with ripped CD's appearing in the Naim Rips folder.
The current setup utilising the HDX works faultlessly, but I am simply venturing into new territory to see if I can easily dispense with it in my system.
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Thanks chaps, embarrassingly obvious, once you know!
When I first looked through the Poweramp window, the "Path" box remained unchecked by yours truly...........
Now it's sorted, the destination is set to Music.
Now all I have to figure out is how to transfer that to my nas, in a form that the HDX will recognise, in order to stream to the NDS.
I've had this setup for a couple of years, and have so far resisted external ripping, as the HDX ripper / server renders the whole process painless, but feel it is time to explore new possibilities.
Thanks Chaps,
Dave.

Sounds like you're thinking of ditching the HDX in favour of a regular NAS for storage/server duties? If so, remember that anything you ripped on the HDX will need to be converted to FLAC before transferring it to another device, otherwise the metadata will be unreadable. (If you've searched the forum, you probably already know this.)

Yes, I've stuck with the HDX purely from a convenience point of view, but accept that it's something of overkill in my set up.
At the moment, it rips to my nas, then acts as a server for the NDS.
This is just the first step in working out how to dispense with the HDX, having, as you say, converted everything ripped thus far to FLAC, and installing a UPNP server onto the nas.
The fun never stops.

Open CD ripper from main dBpoweramp window. Look down to bottom left of window. The box says 'rip to'
Quite correct. I should have looked more closely at the window. In my defence I set it up a long time ago. I still want to know why I can submit my results to the Accurate Rip database on the PC version, but not on the Mac version. (unless that has changed with recent updates?)
