Lovely Day With Fellow Naim Forumites

So I've just spent a lovely day with the similarly afflicted, messing about with Hi-fi kit, eating lunch and generally having a super time. Every time we've got together I always find time rushes by, in the company of really nice folk. Yes, we're all bonkers but in a nice way! Attendees, from the left, Darke Bear (Gary), Minh, Foot Tapper (Ian), J.N. ,and myself, looking a bit distorted (it's the wide-angle lens, honest!).
We listened to various stuff on Melco (it's a winner, is that) & vinyl, using cabling I can't mention for fear of being taken out by the shady Naim hitmen. I'd been using DAVE, but my trusty QBD76, through a USB to SPDIF convertor, was much better. I thought the same when I first tried DAVE but it's good to have it confirmed by more ears.

It's not so much dark ambient, industrial and neo-folk that gives me the creeps (they do), but his system - it has to be heard to be understood: pure energy, no compassion, absolute coherence, appalling dynamics and a confounding realism. My system is Ben Kingsley, his is Jack Nicholson... In The Witches of Eastwick.
