Service in Canada?

Posted by: Ian Brown on 01 March 2016

I just gave my Nait 5 a static shock and now the one channel is blown (at least I think it's blown - super loud electrical hum sound?).  Luckily my new used Headline seems fine.  Although interesting you can hear faint static filled sound through the headline with the amp turned off.

I had been toying with a service / recap anyway.  Does anyone know if Plurison is still the place to go in Canada for Naim service?

Thanks in advance!

One other comment -  I read in the Naim magazine about a set of olive gear being refurbished at Naim and I have looked at the Naim site about returning products to Naim directly and wondering if anyone has advice about having hear sent to Naim under the RMA scheme.

I believe Plurison are, and Manu reports on here.  Best bet is to take it to your local Naim dealer ( ideally in it's original box ) to have them ship it off to Plurison - then you have full traceability...

Yes, Plurison is still the distributor (& you typically can go direct), but as mentioned should also be able to take it to any of your local Naim dealers.

It's confirmed - I'm making the trip to my Naim dealer his week.

I'm hopeful it's not too badly damaged and a recap / service does the trick.

Sorry to hear that Ian. We (Plurison) will take care of it. It may be a good oportunity to do a recap at the same time, you will save on shipping and labour.

As said, you can go to a dealer, you' ll find the list on our website or on Naim' s one or you can go direct to us. Costs will be the same. Find the phone on our website at Plurison dot com.

Thanks Manu - I have connected with Mark at Soundstage in KW and going there Friday.   As many have said before, it is great service and this forum that have kept me with Naim for many years.
