Naim n-sat brackets again!

Posted by: tiggers55 on 02 March 2016

Hi all,

I am trying to find out the dimensions of the n-Sat wall brackets - n-brackets so I can fabricate some as they are no longer available.

I posted about this before and it all went a bit Pete Tong because I was told in here that Naim still had some n-brackets, but when I contacted them they said it was Naim Canada who had replied. I then tried to make contact in here, but fell foul of the rules and the thread got deleted (despite doing what Naim told me to do).  Anyway another user posted Manu's email address and we made contact, but despite repeated attempts to complete the transaction I am still no nearer acquiring them.... no idea why as we had sorted a price and shipping... just need to pay, but no further contact for some reason. The whole episode has not painted Naim in a good light really which is a shame as I have been a customer for over 30 years and have two full Naim systems! Ah well!

So there was a user who posted back that he would measure his brackets for me so if you are still around then I would very much appreciate you doing that. I want to get the n-Sats up on the wall asap and I'm nearly a month on from thinking this would be a relatively simple task!

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps Manu is on holiday or something. Why not try again, given that everything seems to be in place.

Thanks and I have sent him another email, but I think it's probably a case of not getting to the top of the pile as it's such a small item/order which I do totally understand as I run a business myself.

Put simply I just want to get them up on the wall and can make a set within a few days if I can generate the drawings.

Presumably you've asked Naim for the drawings? They must have them at the factory.

Impressed. The brackets look a complicated shape to me.

Hope this comes good for you.

I'd be happy to take some measurements from mine if it helps. However, they are a little more complex than you might imagine if you haven't seen them in the flesh, so if you can source a real pair that would save you a lot of hassle (unless, of course, you like a challenge, and your metalworking skills are up to it.)

Hi there, well I have seen images of them and they aren't too complex. I have access to a fabrication company and at the end of the day I am sure they won't look as polished as the Naim ones, but as long as they do the job.

Happy to use some other brackets if I can find some but they all seem to put the speakers too far off the wall or are too big for the n-Sats slim rear.

The other option would be to just get rid of the n-Sats and use something else and I am reaching this point to be honest as frankly I am at the end of my tether with this 'simple' task of wall mounting them.

Well yes that was going to be my original call but then got offered some genuine new ones and Naim put me on to the fact that Naim Canada had them. I can contact them again I guess, but as above I am losing interest in some ways!

Hi

I contacted the Naim Canada dealer and dealt with a really helpful guy called Emmanuel Le Querre <elequere@plurison.com>

He is sending some to my in laws who live in Canada and I will collect them in due course. He may still have some - I wasn't the only one who had contacted him for some but he may still have some left. About 140 Canadian bucks I think.

Yes that is who I have been dealing with. Look it's probably just a wee bit of impatience on my part and the fact that it's not exactly order of the century on his so will doubtless be on the back burner (which I totally understand), but I've had the n-Sats sitting here for a month now and just want to get them sorted or get something else if they can't be sorted.

Thanks very much for the offer, but I'm done with the whole episode. Have decided n-Sats will be sold and I'll get something else that doesn't require a degree in civil engineering and a magic wand to make manufacturers representatives talk to me to mount on the wall!

It's a crying shame.

If you persevere a bit longer, you will find the nSats so enjoyable for many years.  It will make a week or so fade into insignificance.  In any case, best of luck!
