Hi Tabby Cat

I'll be there from 10am on the Sunday and stay until about 1pm.

If anyone else is planning on going, it would be a pleasure to meet up.

At some point, I am bound to be in Olan's room listening to his system with the ART Alnico 8 loudspeakers...

Had a great day at Scalford. My highlights where the big horns with the 5 turntables and the best sound for me was Olans system with Audio Research reference preamp and Moon power amp and Art Alinco speakers. He was playing New Orders Blue Monday and it sounded awesome. There was lots of great rooms but Olans really did it for me.

Great day out and spoke to some nice folk.Good food and ambience.

Karen and I really enjoyed it. Met a few familiar faces and heard some great music. A highly recommended day out

I'd second that the art Alnico 8 speakers. They were so neutral and would be high on my list if I had the space and in the market for new floorstanders.

i also really enjoyed the llittle harbeth speakers, the vocal abilities were very impressive as was their ability to create a huge amount of well controlled bass

I really enjoyed the show and am glad people liked the system Rudy, Paul and I lashed together. Personally, I was very keen on Ritchie and Pete's massive horn 'n bling turntable rig next to the bar (very handy too). The Wammers are wonderful people in the main. I arrived in a horrible hire car feeling awful but a crew appeared to lug the speakers up the stairs and at the end of the show they appeared to load out. I did almost no heavy lifting and was able to concentrate on having a superb time.Next year I am going to go as a neutral and just help out for the weekend.

Those ARTs are wonderful, wonderful things. I do miss my SL2s and all the old kit, but the ARTs are just superior in doing everything I require from a Hi Fi to make me smile. If only they weren't so heavy....
