Connecting superuniti to naim Nap250-2
Posted by: Chris s on 06 March 2016
looking for support and advice on how to connect the two units and how to configure - in addition has anybody observed the performane and can provide feedback
Hi,
I guess the normal way is to go from the 4 pin DIN out of the SU to the input of the 250, using the standard cable that came with the 250. Enable preamp out if necessary, and you can possibly disable the power amp in the SU, - unless you want to bi-amp.
A more mainstream combo would be 272 & 250, since presumably the preamp in the SU will hold your system back a bit.
Cheers,
Stefan
I've been using a 200DR with my SU for a couple of months, and it gives a nice lift to the performance. Just connect the cable supplied with your 250 to the SU preamp out, and you're sorted. You need to use the SU remote to access the settings on the front panel display, and enable the external power amp instead of internal.

Thanks so much for helping - I would love to try out the 272 but I am happy at the moment with my SU.

Well I connected the 250-2 to my superuniti - wow what a difference I am so pleased with the performance ...I just now wondering whether to change my superuniti with a n272. But this impressive change as revitalised my system.
If you can manage it, then do it.
Thanks for the heads up - in terms of cables would you upgrade from odyssey 2 to NAC A5 or Chord Epic. Speakers Wilson benesch ARCs
lots of love for Tellurium Q Black here
With PMC speakers I found TQB to be a lot better than A5, but whether it's the same with the Arcs I have no idea. If it were me, I'd sort out the 272 before getting diverted with cables. If you change too much at the same time, you won't know what is doing what.

I confirm , Iove TQB
Thanks AndyL will do a demo audio t Cheltenham has a set will advise
Have purchased the 272 and it is most definitely a step up from my superuniti which I absolutely loved. It seems to have more bass extension and a more complete sound with every type of music. I now will need to look for a step up from my WB ARC speakers to get the most out of my 272 - 250-2 resource.
I'd suggest you upgrade the 250.2 to DR and add an XPSDR before even thinking about changing the Arcs. But for now, enjoy the wonderful 272.
did you try TQB?
