Hi Lod,

Don't purchase anything before directly consulting the Naim technical support! Most of the models on the market are not compatible and this is not mentioned in the user guide. They will send you a list of compatible touchscreens and info about where you could order them.

Consider an iPad, it's great!

iPad is surely a wonderful device, and given the ridiculously high price of mere touchscreens, it may make more sense to invest in such a multi-task device. However, all mobile devices have the same downside: you have to remember where you last left it and find it before being able to use it! Therefore, some people like me will continue to prefer a fixed touchscreen on the unit. To have a permanent local control point is especially important if you have more than one person using the unit in the house. Naim should continue to offer this alternative and develop its user interface further, for example, incorporating a decent on-screen keyboard for text entry, instead of this foolish telephone dialpad.

If you spend $600-$700 on something, it tends not to get lost.  I would hardly call portability a drawback.  When was the last time I couldn't find my iPhone?  When hammered and left it at a bar.  Lesson - Dont bring your iPad to a bar (which is a loser move anyway).

Maybe, my home (and my mind) is a bit untidy. I loose my mobile phone very often at home and have to call myself from the home phone to figure out where it is!

Glad, I'm not alone.

One problem i have since buying an ipad is getting it off my son or wife!

I guess as one the younger/unmarried/childless/tidy people out there, my phone is either in my pocket, in my hand, charging, or on the nightstand.  The iPad is in my work bag, unless called upon for remote duties.  I think I prefer doing everything except email and movies on the iPhone.

When the iPad comes with something like the retina display it is ON!

I just connected (successfully) a FeelWorld FW819AHT 8" 6x19 touch display. After the display calibration it works well and also has an HDMI as well as the VGA input.

I got it off of eBay $160. The seller has a website, www.m2cmart.com

The direct link is:  http://www.m2cmart.com/FEELWOR...W819AHT_p369445.html

Pretty cool as it even has a stand/mount that seems to work well enough.
