The Great North Swim

If anyone else was in Bowness this weekend, or more accurately in Lake Windermere, for this event then I hope you enjoyed it.

18/12 or so after some major health problems my wife completed the 1 mile swim in 43 minutes with a huge smile, and having secured significant funds for her chosen charity.

In total over 10,000 swimmers took part over 3 days and it was quite an occasion.

Very well done to your wife Bruce! A very chilly swim no doubt, in a very large and dark body of water.

They had to call this event off last year due to excessive blue/green algae in the water.
