Naim price increase 2016

Any news of this price increase?

Better to place orders before April 1 before that happens....

my dealer did not know at weekend - but ordered 282 at 2015 pricing

Is the price increase inevitable? I suppose so, but it would be nice if Naim would say how much in advance.

Do Naim dealers have discretion as to when to pass this on? Presumably orders before 1 April will be honoured at old prices. But are there dealers who might have some stock on hand that can sell at old prices beyond that date?

Any dealer can sell at 2015 prices after 1 April. They can sell at 2011 prices come to that, or 2009, 2005...

The Naim price in the UK is a recommended retail price, this is determined by Naim as distributor for their own products within the UK market.  Naim  traditionally revise this every 1st of April.  Naim's export price is similarly revised either on 1st April or 1st May.  However, as the price the customer pays in countries outside the UK are determined by the distributor, you should enquire with them with regard to any revisions.

Are the DR upgrades likely to increase? My understanding was that new items didn't go up the following April, so I am assuming that the QB won't increase but wondered about my planned 250.2 upgrade.

That's a question that cannot be answered.

Assuming it is an increase - you might see some remaining, and some others increasing slightly so as to manage demand and encourage product phase out... with these historically low inflation rates for so many years now and reducing costs in so many areas there are more options open to many companies now - certainly in IT and electronics.

The current UK price list was issued in Jun 2015, following fast on the heels of the Apr 2015 price list.

And in Poland the prices went up 3 times in 2015 alone. So much for 0% inflation....

When you say "prices went up 3 times in 2015", do you mean "prices increased by a factor of 3", or do you mean "on three occasions in 2015, prices increased" ?

If the latter, by how much, overall, did the price increase during 2015?

Either 2 or 3 separate occasions (if my memory does not fail me). An overall price increase in PLN between the end of 2014 and the end of 2015 - somewhere in a range of 10%

Possibly due to fluctuations in exchange rates.
