Editing metadata for.dsf files...

Posted by: Jason on 13 March 2016

I have been trying to edit the metadata for a few hi-definition (.dsf) music files i have downloaded, but have not been able to do this using dbPoweramp.   Does anyone know if it is possible to use dbPoweramp to change the metadata or is it just not compatible with .dsf?  Normally, I can right click on a file (such as .wav or.flac) and select "Edit I.D Tag" which then opens a screen allowing me to adjust the metadata.  Unfortunately I don't get this option with a .dsf file.  Any Ideas on how I may be able to access the metadata, or what program may do??  Thanks.

Use MP3tag – www.mp3tag.de, Works fine on PC natively, or Mac OSX under Wine, which you can download as a package with the application. Totally intuitive – I use it to check/amend all my DSD files.

You need to download a separate executable from dbp to enable dsd support. you can get  a link from the dbp forums. Note that .dsf is supported, but not .dff

Andrew & Stampie, thanks.  I'll try the dbPoweramp download first as I already have that.  Will get mp3tag if the dbPoweramp add on doesn't work for any reason.   All the best.
