Nac 32-- Should I remove my tape buffer boards?

Currently using an NAC 32 with a Hicap. I have just removed my phono boards and notice a huge improvement in all areas. Should I remove the tape buffer boards also?

If they aren't used, then give it a go. If you find an improvement, all good. If not, you can put them back in.
