Muso QB Tidal question

Posted by: Elbow on 25 March 2016

This could be a simpleton type question, so apologies if that's the case. I already have a Tidal account that I use Social sign-in to access (Facebook). I have been using the account on my phone mostly. Now I have a QB, it has Tidal built in but requires sign in via  the Muso app to access. However, the app doesn't give you a social sign in option, just email and password. If I use my Facebook email and password, it doesn't recognize it. I don't want a second Tidal account (obviously). I also can't see anywhere on Tidal where you can change from using social sign-in to using an email and password now I've selected the social option.

Any helpful people out there have a suggestion on how to fix it? Many thanks all!

Maybe your best bet is to contact Tidal and ask them what to do.

Do you get a free 3 months Tidal subscription with a new QB? if so is it not worth starting a new account (with email & password) to save £60 over 3 months. I guess you may have lots of playlists and or favorites that you're reluctant to lose??

Thanks guys. You do get the 3 months free with the QB. So I essentially cancelled my prior subscription and opened a new one which wasn't ideal but was the only way around it. If you've used Facebook login to access an existing a Tidal account and the later start using Tidal via the iOS app with a naim streamer, there doesn't appear to be any way of logging on to your existing Tidal account with the app. You can't change the log in and the naim app doesn't give you the Facebook login option.

If you've got a lot of playlists you may be able use something like this to port them to your new account -

https://support.tidal.com/hc/e...-playlists-to-TIDAL-

You may have to do something stupid like go out to Spotify and then back to Tidal

I had the same problem, but i managed a solution:

Go to tidal webpage -> log out -> manage account option -> forgot your password? -> insert your facebook email on username -> reset password -> follow the link from the email -> now you can login with your email and new password inside naim app using facebook account.
