DIN Cable buying Naim Amps

Posted by: Leon di San Marco on 30 March 2016

Hi!

buying a Naim Amp, say a Supernait2, is the standard DIN Cable included or do I have to buy it separately?

Thanks for your answers!

In general the 5 pin DIN cable comes with the Naim source (CD, streamer) and not the amp. Makes sense if you think about it, because Naim cannot know how many sources you are going to use with your amp.

Have a look at the FAQ for details:

The only cable supplied with the SN2 is the power cable.

The Naim Audio product page for the SuperNait 2 states only that the NARCOM-4 remote control is supplied with it, I guess the Tibia power cord is assumed. Required DIN ICs are provided with Naim peripherals, exclusive of PSUs.

Might be time for this 2009 FAQ link to be updated ..... https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...-with-naim-equipment

Thank you! Well, that means that I've been fooled when I bought a second hand CDX2 (MKII), since no cable was included!

Perhaps the seller simply forgot it. If you ask politely and refer to the FAQ then he might give it to you for free. The cable can be of little use to him as he just sold his Naim source to you.
