We were fortunate to have seen him perform at the Montreal Jazz festival a few years ago. He died yesterday at 57.

Jan-Erik,

I see your post only now, and think it's lovely that you knew him and remembered his departure. I liked him a lot, he was from Piemonte like me and he had been working in the Railway Station in Cuneo for the many years I worked at the Music Conservatory in the same, pleasant little town on the edge of the Langhe.

Another special, unique singing Piemontese like Paolo Conte, he will be missed.
