Duplicate albums

Posted by: Mike Woodcock on 18 April 2016

After a house move, all albums that I had on the US are showing up as duplicates in the NAIM app.  New ones that I rip, are just shown once?  There is definitely only. Copy of each on the US?  ANyone else had this issue, if so, how to I remove the duplicate from showing?

OK - A brief update, on the front panel of the UQ2, each album is only showing once.  On the Naim App, the ones that I had pre-move are showing twice!  I have have tried deleting and reinstalling the Naim App but to no effect - Help please!

Hi Mike,

That's a new one on me. I only see albums twice when the Unitiserve shows albums I have deleted and re-copied on my NAS, which is seen as Share by the Userve.

given that no one else has responded, I would ring Naim support this morning.

have you made sure there are no duplicate albums inside other folders? - they can be anywhere and the uq2 will find them.

Also have you "clear cache" the naim app?

I found that I had duplicate albums inside one of my bob dylan album folders....... no idea how they got there, but there they sat.

RESOLVED!  When I moved properties, all IP addresses changed.  I had a separate post about not being able to point my US at the former backup share on my QNAP NAS.  The NAIM App, when I selected the US Share within UPNP was picking up, not just the US, but the NAIM backups on the former backup share.  I deleted that share on the NAS and problem solved!

(I had created a separate backup share with a different name, and run a full backup, before deleting) - Hopefully someone will remember this if this issue crops up again!

Thanks all
