The saga continues............
I have copied most of my CDs to my PC - the hard drive is now nearly full
I will be copying them to my QNap tomorrow once wiring completed - to test settings with a few CDs uploaded to server, before copying the rest over.
I have just had delivered, a 3Tb WD disk - put it in my docking station - gone to disk management - selected GPT - now I am being offered options ? :-
Convert to dynamic disk
Convert to MBR disk
I presume I need to leave GPT in place as it is larger than 2Tb - but what about dynamic disk ?
I ONLY wish to use it to copy my music library to - which I assume I can just drag over from PC folder ?
Any help much appreciated

You need to get the setup of your NAS exactly right, or it won't work. Trial and error is probably not a good idea, as you could inadvertently mess up all sorts of settings if you're not sure of what you're doing. I've only used Synology, so I can't really help you. I would suggest you email Naim support, you should get a response from Phil Harris, who is good at this stuff and will be able to get you set up.
Once you're up and running, it should be straightforward to drag and drop files from your computer.

I would not set the disk up this way, instead insert into the QNAP and follow the QNAP setup
It will likely be a file system of EXT4
You don't say which model you have but if it's a twin bay type I would consider a second HD using RAID1
Don't forget that while RAID1 has its benefits there is no substitute for an 'offsite' backup strategy
