Cabling for NDS with 2 x 555PS

Posted by: mattl on 03 May 2016

Hello,

Is anyone able to advise on the correct Burndy cabling to connect an NDS with 2 x 555PS power supplies?

The manual shows how to connect the NDS to one 555PS but not two.

Thanks

Sorry - to be clear - I am unsure if I should use output 1 on both 555PS or output 1 on one of them and output 2 on the other 555PS.

Hi,

I have mine connected as follows :

Socket 1 on first power supply to socket 1 on NDS / socket 2 on second supply to socket 2 on NDS.

Sounds great to me, but I'm prepared to be shot down in flames if this is incorrect!

Hope this helps.

Dave.

Dave, mine is also connected as yours, by my dealer. From what I can gather from the manual, socket 1 on the PS is for the digital side of the NDS and socket 2 for the analogue, and it would appear that the burndys are not the same, so there may be only one way to make it work, which is the way you have it.

No worries. The sockets and the cabling configurations of the two Burndies are different. They won't allow you to cross and mismatch.
