NDX floating or chasis?

My NDX is connected to a supernait 2 I read the manual it said it should be putted on floating if a CD player is connected within the system (which I don't.) Does that mean I should put it in the Chasis mode?
My system: NDX + Supernait 2 + Hicap
Floating for scenarios where there is another earthed source in the system. So if the NDX is the only source or other sources do not earth the signal (fairly common), then Chassis is the right setting.
Thanks for the help!

...assuming that the Signal Ground switch on the NDX itself isn't set to "Chassis". If it is, then the SN2 switch should be set to "floating" i.e. only one component should be set to "Chassis".

There is no such switch on the SN2. This is only done on source components with Naim since their philosophy is to earth signals at the source and and all via a single source. It is possible the original SN had such a switch since it had a DAC onboard but I've never seen the older SN.
