Perhaps Ian means which power supply can be used to power both the CD5XS and the Headline? I may be wrong, but isn't the Flatcap XS the only option in that case?

yes, flatcap.

I don't see a reference to a CD5XS, only a shouted question as to which is the best power supply to power a Headline, the answer to which is a Supercap. As to other advice: it's good to use the normal sized font and to post hifi questions in the Hifi Corner, and of course to be clear in what one is actually asking.

Hello having just jumped on the forum i wanted to get a taster of what happens on here. I did have a napsc then traded it in for a hi cap,things started to get interesting thing were there i never knew existed. Although i am very happy with  this set up,5xs headline and hi cap i just wondered what your thoughts were and if anyone had a  similar set up...........headphones i use  are akg k712
