naim network speed

does anyone one know what speed naim network equiptment auto negotiates to 1Gig?

 

I have a NAS, HDX and Qute on the 10/100 network and can't find this spec in the manauls or online.

I guess theoretically 10/100mbps Ethernet might be more suited to audiophile as only 4 wires are used where as with 1000mbps it uses all 8 wires and so more switching noise......

A new switch may still work better due to increased switching speed on the backbone  :-)

 

And definately be an improvement over using just a router.
