N serve not connecting

Any body had any experience of nserv via iPad not working -I can open the app but nothing works and you can't play or search.
I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling but no success?
Any help appreciated.

Is your serve wired to a switch or the router directly?

Is your wireless network on the same subset as the wired network?

Have you got any files with a / in them? A friend of mine couldn't get nServe to work for a month for that reason. He just got the "loading" message. I think Phil Harris sorted it out for him in the end.

The serv is wired to a switch. My wireless is working fine as I still have Internet connection. I can still control the serve via my laptop which is most stange.
It's worked fine for months and I haven't done anything different -very strange?

Obvious question but does the Serve appear in the n-serve app on your iPad, if not, have you tried entering the IP address manually?

Quite correct Jack, no IP address was the problem - the old turn it off and turn it on again gag worked a treat.........normal service resumed.

Now listening to the excellent Ain't no saint box by John Martyn, superb....
