Yes and no. The is no way to connect an Amazon Fire TV to Naim gear because it only provides HDMI out (both stick and Fire box). However, you can run a fiber optic cable from the TV to the Uniti assuming your TV supports audio out over fiber optic (most do). Just be sure to set the output stream to LPCM in your TV's setup menu.

I stream my Amazon Prime from a Sonus into my NDX via a Toslink cable.

What is Amazon Prime? I thought it was something to do with next or same day delivery?

It is but also allows music and video streaming, access to eBooks as well I think. They also have commissioned  their own TV programmes and films.

Music is only MP3 AFAICT.

It's pretty good value for money Amazon Prime if you have a fire stick and a Kindle to be honest, and you do get the added advantage of next day delivery when you buy from them

I'm guessing I'd need a decent Internet connection too, as it is streaming.... That counts me out, as living in rural Oxfordshire I currently have virtually the equivalent of dial-up until the first half of 2017.....

The good news is that being lossy files, the bandwidth requirements are less than for cd-quality or higher online streaming.

The bad news is that they are lossy files.

I started to enroll the Amazon Music service onto my SONOS and then did a volte-face. Amazon is a company that doesn't pay tax properly in this country and employs people in low wage jobs.

Personally I have decided to cut Amazon out of my life as far as possible - starting with Amazon Prime.

I'll continue with Qobuz, until I find they are registered in Luxembourg and owned by a South American drug cartel!

But are they guilty of illegal tax dodging or just exploiting a system?

I find linking tax payment to morality (as the government and media try to) puts anyone making that association on very shaky ground. Paying tax is merely a legal obligation, not a moral one. Any person or company would be nuts to pay tax they are not legally obliged to.

And Amazon paying low wages is not true. They are a major employer in my country. Management roles might be largely in the US but many roles here are in the GBP 40K to 60K braket. It's the long hours that is the problem.

Hi Feeling,

I'll not divert the thread further, suffice it to say my view is different,
