Nap 200 vs Uniti 2 amp

both are rated at 70w. What's the difference? I've read somewhere that the 200 is on par or better than the amp used in SN2. Is this true?

Yes.

For power amps, XS 2 is better than Uniti 2, SN2 is better than both, and NAP200 is better than all the previous three.

There's more to power amps than just 1kHz sinewave output into 8Ω, unless you just want to listen to very loud 1kHz sinewaves!  (Things like current drive capability, speed of current dilivery and other transient performance characteristics).

A matter of opinion, I had both in my home for weeks and if I thought the Nap200 was better than the SN2 (with a Nac202) I'd own it.

Yes, the 200 is generally thought of as 'better' than a Uniti 2. To my ears, that contest isn't even close - I prefer the 200 to the SuperUniti as well. The 200 is a darn good amp, and you have to spend a lot more money to improve on it.

I did exactly the same as Dayjay, a recent home demo of the SN2 against the Naim separates and came away with the same conclusion.

To these ears the SN2 sounded more powerful, which it is, and faster, at least with my speakers, in my room. In fact, it sounded so good, I had to keep it!

Of course everybody hears thing differently, the presentation of the two amps are different, and to say one is better would be incorrect, it's actually which presentation one prefers.
